Chapter 107

Sophia Miller leaned in, her gaze sharp as a blade.

"What happened to your lips?"

Vivian Bennett instinctively pressed her lips together, avoiding eye contact.

"The weather has been dry lately. They're chapped."

Sophia scoffed.

"Cut the crap. That's clearly a bite mark."

She grabbed Vivian's wrist firmly.

"Tell me the truth. Are you seeing someone behind my back?"

Vivian's heart raced. She shook her head in panic.

"Nothing like that!"

Sophia narrowed her eyes.

"Still lying? That's clearly a hickey!"

Vivian's cheeks burned. She stammered, unable to form a response.

Sophia's expression instantly turned excited.

"You actually slept with him? Must have been intense!"

Vivian glared at her, both embarrassed and annoyed.

"Stop talking nonsense. We haven't gone that far."

Sophia raised an eyebrow.

"So something did happen?"

Vivian bit her lip in frustration, realizing she had slipped up.

Sophia laughed heartily.

"Seems like he couldn't wait!"

Vivian sighed and massaged her temples.

It seemed she really needed to be more careful around Liam Sullivan from now on.

Sophia leaned closer, pressing for details.

"Who is it? Do I know him?"

Vivian glanced at her.

This didn't seem like someone who was injured. She was a full-blown gossip enthusiast.

"Liam Sullivan. My boss." Vivian decided to come clean.

Sophia stroked her chin thoughtfully.

"Is he trying to proposition you?"

Vivian frowned, looking troubled.

"I'm trying to figure out how to turn him down."

Sophia slammed the table abruptly.

"Turn him down? Why would you reject a top-tier man falling right into your lap?"

Vivian was stunned.

She never expected this reaction from her best friend.

"But what if he's just playing with me?"

Sophia rolled her eyes.

"If he plays you, you play him back! This kind of opportunity is something others beg for!"

Vivian was left speechless.

Sophia continued fanning the flames.

"If you ask me, you should invite him to a hotel tonight. Sleep with him first and figure out the rest later!"

Vivian stared, completely dumbfounded.

Sophia grew more enthusiastic.

"You'll regret missing out on a man like this. You need to make the first move!"

Listening to her best friend's bold words, Vivian felt for the first time that she was utterly unreliable.

Late at night, Vivian tossed and turned in bed.

Liam Sullivan's image lingered persistently in her mind.

Should she really pursue this with him?

Her phone suddenly rang.

A familiar letter "B" flashed on the screen.

Her heart instantly began to race.
