Chapter 122
Vivian Bennett ended the call with force.
She powered off her phone immediately and tossed it aside.
Let's see how Liam Sullivan could bother her now.
But sleep still eluded her that night.
Liam's voice seemed to echo in her ears.
She tossed and turned until the first light of dawn.
Morning.
Vivian walked into the company with heavy dark circles under her eyes.
She had just settled at her desk when the internal line rang.
Hannah Green summoned her to the office immediately.
Vivian's heart tightened.
Was Hannah looking for trouble again?
Hannah had been much quieter since the warehouse incident and Liam's punishment.
But Liam had been out of the office for days.
There was no guarantee Hannah wouldn't seize this chance for revenge.
Vivian pushed open the door to the assistant manager's office.
Zachary Hudson lounged lazily in a chair.
A playful smile tugged at his lips, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
Hannah stood beside him, her expression icy.
"Come here and apologize to Mr. Hudson now!" Hannah snapped sharply.
Vivian froze.
Apologize?
What had she done wrong?
She hadn't provoked Zachary recently.
Suppressing her confusion, Vivian stepped forward with a professional smile.
"Mr. Hudson, how have I offended you?"
Her attitude was respectful and polite, flawless.
"Vivian Bennett, what is this attitude!" Hannah scolded immediately. "How dare you act so arrogantly after making a mistake!"
Vivian frowned.
Hannah was clearly biased toward Zachary.
She was an employee of Sullivan Group.
Yet Hannah was openly helping an outsider target her.
Zachary chuckled and waved a hand.
"Don't be angry, Ms. Green." His gaze turned to Vivian, full of amusement. "Ms. Bennett only stood me up once. It's a small matter."
Vivian suddenly remembered.
Outside the hotel restroom last time, she had promised to visit him at Hudson Group.
She had completely forgotten about it afterward.
Hannah immediately switched to a fawning expression.
"You are so magnanimous, Mr. Hudson." She shot a cold look at Vivian. "Hurry up and thank him!"
Vivian laughed coldly inside.
Hannah was obviously using this as an excuse.
But she was outnumbered right now. A direct confrontation would only bring more trouble.
"Thank you for your generosity, Mr. Hudson." Vivian offered a smooth apology.
