Chapter 161

Vivian Bennett lay stiffly.

Liam Sullivan's leg was heavily draped over hers.

Her leg had gone completely numb.

She couldn't bear it any longer.

"Mr. Sullivan..." she mumbled softly, "My leg is numb..."

The man didn't move a muscle.

"You've been lying on me all night," his voice was low and deep.

Vivian secretly rejoiced.

Good.

She hoped his leg would break.

Who told him he had to hold her while sleeping.

But she didn't dare say it out loud.

Afraid of angering him.

They remained locked in a stalemate.

Vivian's leg was almost completely devoid of sensation.

Liam Sullivan finally shifted his leg away.

She just started to relax.

He abruptly pulled her into his embrace.

Skin pressed against skin.

She shuddered all over.

Her pores felt like they were about to explode.

"It's time to get up..." her voice trembled, "We still have to go to work..."

Liam Sullivan kept his eyes closed.

"The alarm hasn't gone off."

His tone was calm.

As if she were just a pillow.

Vivian grew increasingly frantic.

She had to find a way to escape.

A clever idea suddenly struck her.

"My stomach hurts..." she frowned, "I need to use the restroom..."

Liam Sullivan opened his eyes.

He looked especially captivating just after waking up.

"Does it hurt badly?" he asked, moving closer.

Vivian quickly nodded.

"Do you need me to carry you there?" he raised an eyebrow.

Vivian froze.

Her face instantly flushed red.

"No need..." she stammered, "That would be too much trouble for you..."

Liam Sullivan narrowed his eyes.

"Don't be so polite," he said leisurely, "You didn't say anything last night when you drooled all over me."

Vivian's eyes widened.

"Impossible!" she blurted out.
