Chapter 187

Zachary Hudson abruptly pulled her into his embrace.

His deep, captivating eyes locked onto hers.

His gaze was so intense it felt like it could devour her whole.

"Be my woman."

His tone was commanding and left no room for argument.

Vivian Bennett's heart skipped a beat.

She couldn't believe he would suddenly make such a demand.

"No." She refused point-blank.

She would never become just another one of his playthings.

Zachary's expression darkened instantly.

"You don't have the right to refuse," he ordered coldly.

"I'm not like those other women." Vivian met his gaze directly.

Zachary raised an eyebrow, a flicker of amusement in his eyes.

"Wanting more?" He sneered, the corner of his mouth curling.

Vivian was utterly speechless.

She was clearly rejecting him.

Yet he thought she was negotiating.

"No amount of money will make me agree." She laid her cards on the table.

"Not money? Then what do you want?" Zachary's eyes glinted as he pressed further.

She didn't want anything at all.

She simply wanted no involvement with him.

Was he not understanding her?

Before she could refuse again, Zachary spoke.

"Three days. Name your terms."

He suddenly grasped her arm and lightly kissed the faint scratch mark.

Vivian shuddered violently and yanked her hand back.

She frantically pushed the car door open and rushed into the residential complex without looking back.

She ran all the way to her building but came to an abrupt halt.

Liam Sullivan's tall, imposing figure stood silently beside a black Bentley.

Her heart missed a beat.

Why was he here?

After not seeing him for days, he seemed to have lost some weight.

The lines of his face appeared even more severe and sharp.

But the powerful, overwhelming aura around him remained unchanged.

The pure black custom-made suit accentuated his upright posture.

He exuded an air of noble coldness.

Vivian hadn't expected to see him here.

They had broken up.

Why was he here?

Could he not be here for her?

She forced herself to stay calm and pretended not to see him.

She turned to go around the other way.

Liam frowned at her cold, retreating back.

Seeing her ignore him and walk away, his eyes darkened.

He strode after her.

Vivian hadn't taken more than a few steps when her wrist was suddenly grabbed from behind.

A man's deep voice sounded. "Where are you going?"

Vivian froze.

He was indeed here for her.

She took a deep breath, trying to calm her turbulent emotions.

She turned around, her tone distant and calm. "Mr. Sullivan, is there something you need?"

Liam's face tightened instantly at her unfamiliar address.

The air around him turned icy.

"Is he the reason you rejected me?"

His voice was bitingly cold.

Vivian stared blankly at his stern profile.

She caught a fleeting glimpse of jealousy in his eyes.
