Chapter 250

Liam Sullivan pinned Vivian Bennett's hands above her head.

She kicked at him in frustration.

He had never pleaded with a woman so humbly before.

Rarely did he lower himself to tease her.

Yet she grew increasingly arrogant.

His stern face darkened abruptly.

He bent down and bit her crimson lip harshly.

It was a punishing nip.

Tears welled in Vivian's eyes from the pain.

Only when she stopped struggling and went limp on the bed did Liam finally release her.

He turned and walked into the bathroom for a cold shower.

The sound of running water echoed loudly.

Vivian thought he had already left.

The water noise brought her back to reality.

A throbbing pain spread from her lips.

She felt both angry and annoyed.

This man always acted this way.

He would bite at the slightest displeasure.

It was utterly savage and domineering.

Vivian lay on the bed with tangled thoughts.

Her chest rose and fell unevenly.

The mattress suddenly dipped.

A cool masculine scent washed over her.

She stared in panic at his handsome face so close to hers.

The corner of her mouth twitched. "Liam Sullivan, you can't do this."

"What can't I do?" he countered in a low voice.

After their earlier struggle, Vivian suddenly sensed danger.

If this continued, she could lose control at any moment.

"You can't sleep here."

She didn't want him to stay the night.

Liam reached out and pulled her into his arms.

His warm breath brushed her ear. "I won't touch you. Just sleep."

"If you want to do something else, I'm ready anytime."

His deep voice carried an undeniable threat.

Vivian wanted to argue but found herself speechless.

She couldn't articulate her complex emotions.

Nor had she expected to share a bed with him so soon.

She knew this relationship had no future.

Countless times she had tried to draw boundaries.

Countless times she had refused intimacy.

Yet now she could only let him lie beside her.

Vivian tossed and turned all night.

She finally fell into a deep sleep within the warmth of his embrace.

Early morning light filtered through the windows.

Vivian woke with a start.

She saw him preparing to rise.

Quickly, she closed her eyes and pretended to sleep.

Liam watched her fluttering eyelashes.

He turned and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"It's still early. Sleep a bit more."

His hoarse voice carried the laziness of just waking.

Vivian secretly opened her eyes.

She watched him leave the bedroom calmly.

Finally, she breathed a sigh of relief.

She drifted back to sleep dazed and confused.

The alarm clock eventually rang.

Vivian woke once more.

She washed up, ate breakfast, and hurried out the door.

Just as she reached the community gate to hail a taxi, she saw Liam driving his new car out of the garage.

The luxury vehicle stopped smoothly in front of her.

"Get in."

Vivian stood frozen.

She had assumed he'd already left for the office.

She never expected him to depart at this hour.

They had encountered each other unexpectedly.

She glanced around, intending to open the back door.

His commanding voice rang out. "Sit in the front."

Vivian stiffened.

Silently, she walked to the passenger seat.
