Chapter 300

"I am serious." Liam Sullivan's gaze burned into her, his tone unusually stubborn.

His deep voice seemed to still linger by her ear. "Vivian Bennett, you are my first woman."

Her heart had not known peace since being with Liam Sullivan.

She never believed she could be his first woman.

She dared not even dream of being his last.

With his qualities, it was no surprise how many women surrounded him.

She never hoped for an answer to this question.

She never allowed herself to indulge in unrealistic fantasies.

Men never boast about how many women they have had.

But they always remember their first.

"Liam Sullivan, I know you're drunk. I won't argue with you." Vivian took a deep breath, trying to pull her hand back.

He stubbornly refused to let go.

She forced down the flutter in her heart.

Facing such a breathtakingly handsome man at such close range, Vivian was afraid she might lose control and pounce on him.

"I'm not drunk. I'm very sober." Liam's gaze was sharp. "Vivian Bennett, you are my first woman."

His words made her heart tremble.

He tightened his grip on her hand.

Their eyes met, tension hanging silently in the air.

"I..." Vivian was at a loss for words.

His overly serious expression flustered her.

Liam suddenly released her hand, a self-mocking smile curling his lips.

Vivian's hand was suddenly free, yet she felt a sense of loss.

It was as if a part of her heart had emptied.

She resisted Liam from the bottom of her heart.

She did not believe he was a man who had remained chaste.

Did he simply think she was easy to fool? Was he joking with her?

"Leave. I'm tired." Liam turned over and collapsed onto the bed, burying his face in the pillow.

Vivian froze for a few seconds before struggling to get off the bed.

She gave him a deep look, turned off the light, and left the room.

Leaning against the corridor wall, she breathed heavily, trying to calm her racing heart.

Even if his words were unbelievable, her heart couldn't help but leap with joy.

She pressed a hand to her chest.

Was her heart so easily swayed?

Tonight, Liam was unusually quiet.

No frantic knocking on the door.

No relentless phone calls.

He simply stayed quietly in his own room.

Vivian quickly returned to her own apartment next door.

She took a hurried shower and lay in bed, tossing and turning.

"You are my first woman." Liam's words echoed in her ears like a spell.

She simply couldn't fall asleep.

Every time she closed her eyes, she saw the look in his eyes when he said those words.

Vivian's breath hitched.

If what Liam said was true...

Then that night when she was drugged by Boss Frank and used him as an antidote... was his first time?

It seemed his first time wasn't beautiful.

It was actually used by her as an antidote.

No wonder he pestered her.

No wonder he demanded she take responsibility.

Who asked her to take his first time?

And "torture" him like that that night?
