Chapter 36
Zachary Hudson's words plunged the entire office into dead silence.
Deputy Manager Hannah Green's pupils constricted sharply. She nearly lost her composure and stood up.
Fiona Clark, the most beautiful woman in the PR department, was the first to voice her doubts. "Manager, are you sure you heard correctly? Vivian Bennett clearly offended Mr. Hudson last night. Sending her to Hudson Group now might completely anger him. Perhaps I should go instead..."
Before she could finish, Manager Thomas Carter cut her off coldly. "Mr. Hudson specifically asked for Vivian Bennett to handle the signing. Do you not understand?"
The implication was clear. Zachary Hudson only wanted to see Vivian Bennett.
Anyone else going would be pointless.
Fiona's face instantly turned ashen. Her nails dug deeply into her palms.
She had spent three hours meticulously preparing last night. How could she lose to this plain-faced Vivian Bennett?
Thomas ignored her and turned to Vivian. "The company car will take you to Hudson Group. Don't keep Mr. Hudson waiting."
"Understood." Vivian nodded thoughtfully.
She quickly organized the files on her desk.
Zachary Hudson specifically requested her for the signing?
This was definitely not good news.
That young master hadn't had enough fun last night. Now he had come up with new ways to torment her.
But this was also good. Deputy Manager Hannah Green temporarily lost the chance to trouble her about company rules.
Vivian picked up her bag to leave. Hannah suddenly pressed down on her shoulder.
"Mr. Hudson is charming and charismatic. You're a smart woman. You should know how to use your advantages?" Hannah lowered her voice meaningfully.
Vivian was slightly taken aback.
Was this indicating she should accept an under-the-table deal?
"Seize this opportunity well. Don't disappoint Manager Thomas and me." Hannah wore a smile, but her eyes were piercingly cold.
A chill ran down Vivian's spine.
She took a deep breath and turned to leave the office.
Sitting in the company car, Vivian reviewed the files Thomas had given her.
Besides the cooperation contract, there was detailed information about Zachary Hudson.
All this had been mentioned in previous meetings.
Thomas was clearly betting on her. He hoped she could win over Zachary Hudson and bring glory to the PR department.
Vivian had long heard of Zachary Hudson.
The media constantly reported his romantic affairs. This playboy was definitely not her type.
But for the year-end bonus, she had to meet this Mr. Hudson.
The car stopped in front of Hudson Group's headquarters.
Vivian entered the impressive lobby and stated her purpose to the receptionist.
The receptionist made a call for instructions. She then showed an apologetic expression. "Mr. Hudson is currently busy. Please wait."
This wait lasted two hours.
