Chapter 474

Liam Sullivan stayed by Vivian Bennett's side at the hospital without leaving for three days.

He remained until she had fully recovered and was discharged.

Vivian brought him back to her newly moved-in home.

"I just got back from the hospital, so I need to take a shower first." She said this and walked straight to the bathroom.

Liam lazily followed her, leaning against the doorframe with one hand.

His deep eyes sparkled with playful light.

"Sweetheart, aren't you going to invite me to join you?"

His voice was low, carrying a seductive tone.

"We could try showering together."

As he spoke, he began unbuttoning his shirt, making a move to enter.

Vivian's eyes widened instantly.

Her pale cheeks flushed bright red in a second.

She stomped over angrily and pushed him out.

"Stop thinking about all that nonsense!"

She blocked him forcefully outside the door.

"I don't want to shower with you. Get out!"

She had no intention of being tormented by him in the bathroom again.

This man always had endless tricks up his sleeve.

"So cruel." Liam took a step back from her push, but chuckled softly.

"I just wanted to help scrub your back."

His gaze fell on her flushed cheeks, his eyes growing even deeper.

"Besides, have you forgotten we tried showering together last time?"

He lowered his voice, his magnetic tone seeming to pluck at heartstrings.

"That night, the scented candles were enchanting, the music was ambiguous, the steam was misty..."

With each word he said, Vivian's face grew redder.

"You lay in the tub like a startled doe, your skin tinged pink..."

"Stop talking!" Vivian interrupted him, both embarrassed and annoyed.

Of course she remembered what happened that night.

How dare this man bring it up!

How despicable!

"Not allowed to talk?" Liam raised an eyebrow, a wicked glint flashing in his eyes.

"Should I use actions instead?"

"Go take action by yourself!" Vivian slammed the door shut with a bang, completely shutting him out.

Liam's hearty laughter echoed from outside the door.

Listening to his fading footsteps, Vivian finally let out a sigh of relief.

She ran the hot water, removed her clothes, and slowly sank into the tub.

The warm water enveloped her body, every pore relaxing.

More importantly, her mood felt incredibly light at this moment.

The gloom of the past few days had completely vanished, leaving only overwhelming happiness.

But this happiness had come too suddenly, making her feel vaguely uneasy.

"Can I really be this happy forever?" She murmured to herself, staring at the ceiling.

She didn't know why she had such worries.

Perhaps it was because she had experienced too much hurt, making her so apprehensive about gains and losses.

Vivian shook her head, dismissing those negative thoughts.

Since she had already resolved her inner conflicts, she should trust Liam.

She should believe they could walk this path together forever.
