Chapter 576
Sophia Miller arrived at the bridal boutique to find Vivian Bennett already changed back into her regular clothes.
She stomped her foot in frustration.
She had canceled a meeting and rushed over here.
And she hadn't even caught a glimpse of the wedding dress.
Vivian stepped forward and linked arms with her.
"You'll be the first to see it during the official fitting in a few days."
"Is that the same?" Sophia gritted her teeth.
"It's all Oliver Winston's fault, calling that last-minute meeting.
And then I was stuck in traffic for half an hour!"
She felt like nothing was going right today.
Vivian gave a light laugh.
Before coming, Liam Sullivan had mentioned that Oliver had some project details he wanted to consult Sophia about.
She had arranged that meeting only after getting Sophia's consent.
"Alright," Vivian patted her shoulder.
"Seeing it the first time or the second time is still seeing it.
It won't lose any fabric."
Sophia immediately covered Vivian's mouth.
"Hush, hush.
You're getting married soon.
Don't say things like that."
Vivian smiled and pulled her hand down.
"Fine, I won't say it."
Sophia finally relaxed, her gaze subtly shifting to behind Vivian.
Liam Sullivan stood there, giving her a slight nod.
Sophia quickly forced a smile.
"Hello, Mr.
Sullivan."
Most of her impressions of Liam came from Vivian's stories.
She had met him in person only a handful of times.
Vivian turned back to Liam.
"You can head back to the office first."
Liam's brow furrowed slightly.
His eyes clearly asked: And you?
But he didn't voice the question.
Glancing at Sophia, he understood they needed some girl time.
A woman's mindset before marriage and after marriage was always somewhat different.
He couldn't deprive her of even that little space.
After a moment of silence, he asked quietly, "Do you need a ride?"
"No," Vivian shook her head.
"Sophia drove.
She'll drop me off later."
Liam looked at Sophia.
"Thank you for the trouble."
Sophia was flustered and waved her hands repeatedly.
"No trouble at all.
It's my pleasure."
Vivian shot her a look.
"Look at you."
Sophia pretended not to hear.
Liam turned and walked towards the exit.
Vivian suddenly remembered something.
She hurried forward and caught his arm.
As he turned back, she rose on her toes and planted a light kiss on his cheek.
"Drive safely."
Liam's eyes deepened.
The slight displeasure from earlier was instantly soothed by that kiss.
He gave a low "Mm," before finally leaving.
Watching his back disappear through the doorway, Vivian's ears felt slightly warm.
Sophia rolled her eyes beside her.
"Look at you."
Vivian pressed her lips together in a soft smile and didn't reply.
