Chapter 698

How long has it been since he felt this way?

The thought had barely formed in Liam Sullivan's mind before his body moved first.

He leaned down, cupped her face, and kissed her fiercely.

The delicate fragrance on her lips instantly overwhelmed him.

His tongue forced its way past her teeth, dominating and plundering every trace of her breath.

"Mmmph..." Vivian Bennett pounded her fists against his chest.

Her blows landed on him but didn't budge him an inch.

His kiss was urgent and rough, as if venting some long-suppressed desire.

The sensation was both familiar and foreign.

She suddenly remembered Allen's careful, tentative kiss.

And compared it to the man before her now...

Images from two years ago, memories she'd refused to recall, flooded back violently.

Her nose stung, and tears fell without warning.

The wetness soaked her entire face.

"Why are you crying?" Liam's movements paused, but his lips remained pressed to hers.

Vivian looked at the turbulent desire swirling in his eyes, and her heart felt clogged.

It was always like this.

For him, there was only ever physical craving.

"I feel like I'm betraying my boyfriend," she bit her lip, deliberately trying to provoke him.

"Boyfriend?" Liam's eyes darkened instantly. "Vivian Bennett, you dare mention that kid again!"

An intimidating aura of pressure radiated from him.

"Sir, please let me go..." Vivian sniffled. "You're hurting me."

Resentment welled up in her heart.

She'd hidden for two years, finally found some stability.

Why did he have to reappear?

"Vivian Bennett, do you really not remember me?" Liam narrowed his dark eyes, a sharp glint flashing within.

"I don't remember." Vivian met his gaze and shook her head. "I don't know who you are."

She was determined to keep up the act.

"Your name is Vivian Bennett." His voice was hoarse, his stare intense.

"Yes." She gave a slight nod.

"Your cousin is Grace Harper?" He lifted her chin, forcing her to look directly at him.

"Yes." Vivian gazed at him calmly.

Her eyes were like dewdrops on petals in the deep night, clear and bright.

Liam was suddenly furious.

Flames flickered in his dark eyes.

He struggled to control himself, lowering his voice. "Then how can you not know me?"

Vivian subtly observed his barely-contained anger.

She suppressed the urge to laugh.

She put on an expression of innocent logic. "Why should I know you?"

"You...!" Liam was speechless with anger.

If not for his remaining shred of reason, he'd really want to strangle this woman.

He glared at her for a long moment.

His thin lips moved, finally spitting out three words. "You lost your memory?"
