Chapter 115
Cold water rushed over her face.
Vivian Bennett closed her eyes, trying hard to calm the turmoil inside her.
A few seconds later, she took a deep breath and turned to leave the restroom.
She had just stepped out when she collided with a solid chest.
"I'm sorry..." she apologized hastily, her head lowered.
A familiar, teasing voice came from above her.
"In such a hurry to throw yourself into my arms?"
Vivian froze completely.
That voice...
Her head snapped up, meeting a pair of smiling, mischievous eyes.
Zachary Hudson?
How could it be him?
"You..."
Her eyes widened as she stared at his handsome, roguish face.
To run into him here?
"Never thought you had such skills," Zachary said, narrowing his eyes with a mocking tone.
"What?" Vivian frowned in confusion.
The ridicule in his eyes made her deeply uncomfortable.
"You actually managed to get into Liam Sullivan's bed?" Zachary glanced at her sideways, a sarcastic curve on his lips.
So she had repeatedly rejected him because she had set her sights on a bigger target.
Her goal was actually Liam Sullivan.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Vivian said, her face turning cold.
He was clearly implying she had slept with Liam for professional favors.
Her relationship with Liam was nothing like what he imagined.
But she had no obligation to explain herself to him.
Vivian turned to leave.
Zachary grabbed her wrist.
"In such a hurry to find Liam Sullivan?" he scrutinized her, his voice tinged with anger.
He had never failed to win over a woman.
Vivian was the only exception.
He had been wondering where he had fallen short.
Only today did he discover she had rejected him because of Liam Sullivan.
He and Liam had been rivals for so many years.
He couldn't claim total victory in every aspect.
But in matters of love, he had never lost.
How could Vivian choose that iceberg Liam Sullivan over him?
"Let go!"
Vivian glared at him.
"No."
Not only did Zachary not release her, he moved closer.
His warm breath brushed against her face.
"If you don't let go, I'll call for help!" Vivian said urgently.
"Go ahead, I don't mind." Zachary's eyes sparkled with amusement.
Vivian had never met someone so shameless.
"What do you want?" she demanded through gritted teeth.
"I want you..." Zachary gazed at her intently, deliberately drawing out his words.
Vivian gasped, looking at him in shock.
Zachary appreciated her changed expression, a slight smile playing on his lips.
He leisurely added, "I want you to come to my office tomorrow."
"What?"
