Chapter 336
Vivian Bennett's heart finally settled somewhat.
"I should go now," Liam Sullivan's deep voice sounded.
"Alright, goodbye," Vivian waved gently.
Liam turned and walked away.
The setting sun stretched his tall figure into a long silhouette.
A golden halo enveloped him, warm and captivating.
For the first time, Vivian noticed how his retreating figure stirred her heart.
The softest part of her heart seemed gently touched.
She unconsciously curved her lips into a smile.
"Liam Sullivan..."
She suddenly called out to him.
She quickly caught up, stopping just a step away.
Her gaze rested on him without concealment, filled with admiration and excitement.
"Has anyone ever told you that you look exceptionally good in a suit?" Vivian said softly, her cheeks slightly flushed.
It was a genuine compliment from her heart.
Liam clearly hadn't expected her to say that. His eyebrows raised slightly, a flicker of amusement in his eyes.
"Vivian Bennett, you certainly know how to talk," he chuckled, his voice laced with pleasure.
He had to admit, her words pleased him greatly.
"But you should know, I look handsome in anything," he added with full confidence.
Vivian couldn't help but laugh out loud.
This guy was ridiculously narcissistic.
After seeing Liam off, Vivian returned to her cousin's hospital room.
The smile instantly vanished from her face.
"Cousin, why were you so foolish?" She tightly grasped Grace Harper's hand, her voice choked with emotion.
Could her cousin truly be suffering from depression?
Otherwise, why would she do something so extreme?
How could she bear to hurt herself like this?
"I already regret it," Grace said with dim eyes, sighing softly. "Fortunately, it's not too late."
Vivian's eyes reddened.
"Cousin, promise me you won't do this again."
Grace smiled self-deprecatingly. "Yes, I was too foolish."
She had nearly paid with her life for a man who didn't love her.
Was there anyone in this world more foolish than her?
Fortunately, heaven had given her a second chance.
"I won't do this again," Grace promised solemnly.
Vivian stared at her blankly. "Cousin..."
Her heart was still filled with worry.
She didn't know if her cousin had truly come to her senses or was just saying this to comfort her.
Grace smiled faintly. "Don't worry, I've figured it out. From now on, I will love myself well and cherish my life. I will never let anyone hurt me again, especially those who aren't worth it."
