Chapter 352

Liam Sullivan raised an eyebrow slightly.

He had never considered the word "loss."

Vivian Bennett's fingertips lingered at the collar of his dress shirt.

Her voice was soft, carrying a hint of tentative probing. "This world is full of temptations."

"Money, status, power..." She paused. "And women."

She lifted her gaze.

Her smile didn't reach her eyes.

"What about you?" she asked. "Can you resist these temptations?"

Liam's gaze darkened slightly.

He saw the unease beneath her smile.

He suddenly pinched her cheek.

His deep voice held a teasing note. "So worried?"

"Better keep a close eye on me then."

Vivian shook her head.

"If a man wants to change his heart, no chain can hold him."

Her tone was calm. "Besides, we're not even married yet."

Liam's eyes turned cool.

"Whose fault is that we're not married?"

Vivian was instantly speechless.

"My fault," she admitted quietly.

Liam gently stroked her long hair.

"Dealing with you alone keeps me busy enough," he said lightly. "Where would I find the energy to look at others?"

His gaze was profound.

All these days, his eyes had only held room for her.

Other women, no matter how good, had nothing to do with him.

Some feelings, only she could give.

Vivian's heart trembled slightly.

His words moved her deeply.

Liam suddenly chuckled lowly.

"Did you just admit you love me?"

Vivian's ears grew warm.

"...No."

Amusement flickered in Liam's eyes.

Her words made his heartbeat quicken.

A few days later.

During after-work hours, Liam called.

"I have a business dinner tonight," his voice came through the receiver. "I won't be back early."

Vivian responded softly, "Okay."

"Not happy?" He detected the flatness in her tone.

Vivian twisted a strand of her hair.

"No," she answered truthfully.

Liam chuckled. "But your voice says otherwise."

Vivian interrupted him. "Go ahead with your work."

She knew he had accumulated a lot of work recently.

It was already rare for him to spare so much time for her and their child.
