Chapter 403

Vivian Bennett returned to Seattle feeling despondent.

She accidentally caught a cold during this low period.

Today she went to the private hospital under the Sullivan Group.

At a corridor corner, she bumped into a familiar figure.

Sylvia Sullivan stood before the elevator holding test results.

Their eyes met, and both women paused in surprise.

Vivian offered a polite smile first. "Mrs. Sullivan, what a coincidence."

Sylvia smoothed her hair somewhat awkwardly. "Yes. I didn't expect to see you here."

Vivian noticed the dark circles under the other woman's eyes.

She asked softly, "Are you feeling unwell?"

Though not close, Sylvia was still Liam Sullivan's aunt by marriage.

Basic courtesy was necessary.

Sylvia hesitated before answering. "Albert has been having frequent headaches. I accompanied him for a check-up."

Vivian's heart tightened. "Is it because of the dogs?"

Sylvia shook her head with a sigh. "I wish it were that simple."

She lowered her voice. "He talks in his sleep every night. He wakes up disoriented and dazed. It's worrying."

Vivian felt a stir of surprise.

Albert Sullivan's symptoms sounded quite severe.

Could it be early-onset Alzheimer's?

As she pondered, a commotion erupted down the hall.

Albert Sullivan leaned against the wall, breathing heavily.

Cold sweat beaded on his forehead.

Sylvia rushed over to support him. "Another headache?"

Albert gritted his teeth. "It feels like an ice pick drilling into my temples..."

Sylvia skillfully massaged his pressure points.

It took a while before the man gradually recovered.

Vivian stood aside, frowning inwardly.

With the Sullivan family's power, why had his condition been allowed to deteriorate?

But she was ultimately an outsider.

After exchanging a few pleasantries, she turned toward the pharmacy.

Albert watched her retreating figure.

His heart suddenly clenched for no reason.

The familiar sharp pain returned.

He had to close his eyes and force himself to empty his mind.

After a series of thorough examinations, the chief physician studied the CT scans with a grave expression.

"Mr. Sullivan, have you ever experienced amnesia?"

The doctor pointed to a shadowed area on the scan. "The recent headaches are likely related to memory damage. If there is a history of amnesia, those dreams might be signs of returning memories."

Albert's fingers trembled violently.

Cold sweat instantly soaked through his shirt.
