Chapter 674

Vivian Bennett knew that Brandon White was never a normal person.

His thought process was abnormal, and his actions were even more unpredictable, as erratic as a madman's.

She couldn't understand why he had suddenly taken an interest in her, a sister with no blood relation.

"What are you doing here? Do you want to hurt me?" Vivian tightened her grip on the gun, her voice cold and hard. "Don't forget, I'm still Liam Sullivan's woman. Hurting me won't do you any good."

She believed Brandon wasn't stupid. Her status was clear. If he acted recklessly, it would be a direct challenge to the Sullivan Group.

"You're wrong." Brandon's voice came through the door, tinged with amusement. "I'm not here to settle scores. I'm just... particularly curious about something."

Vivian frowned deeply. "About what?"

Being the object of his curiosity was never a good thing.

"Vivian Bennett—or should I call you Vivian Melville?" Brandon's voice was soft as silk, yet dripping with undisguised triumph.

Vivian froze, the gun nearly slipping from her hand.

She forced the tremor from her voice. "I don't know what you're talking about."

But Brandon continued, undeterred. "You're not a Bennett daughter, and you're not Albert Sullivan's daughter either. I never could have guessed, after all my calculations, that you are actually Matthew Klein's daughter."

He let out a soft chuckle. "No wonder Patriarch Sullivan was so determined to eliminate you, even at the cost of severing his bond with his own grandson."

A chill exploded from the depths of her heart, instantly spreading to her limbs.

Vivian stood rigidly in place, staring fixedly at the door. The voice outside felt like a ghostly whisper, sending shivers down her spine.

This secret, which must never be revealed, was known to him.

What did Brandon want?

That was her greatest fear.

Click—

Vivian yanked the door open, meeting Brandon's eyes, which gleamed with a strange light.

"What do you want?" she demanded sharply.

Brandon raised a hand to brush back the stray hair near his ear. The curiosity in his eyes intensified, the gleam bordering on madness.

"Nothing much. I'm just genuinely curious... how did this happen?" He stepped closer, gently pushing aside the gun she had pointed at him. "How is it that you, of all people, turned out to be the daughter of the Klein family, the Sullivans' enemies?"

Vivian's chest heaved with anger as she glared at him.

"What does that have to do with you?"

"How is it not related?" Brandon's smile widened. "This is a dangerous and thrilling game. And this game—it can't be played without you."

Before the words had fully left his mouth, he suddenly lunged, grabbing Vivian's wrist!

Vivian gasped, struggling fiercely, but he held her fast.

"This is Liam Sullivan's territory! If you take me, he'll know immediately!" She could only invoke Liam's name.

But Brandon laughed. "So what? I want him to know you're in my hands."

He leaned close to her ear, his voice low and soft like a serpent's hiss. "Please cooperate a little. It'll make the game more fun."

A cold syringe plunged into her arm without warning.

Darkness swam before Vivian's eyes, and she lost consciousness instantly.

Brandon swiftly destroyed all the data on her computer.

Then he scooped her up into his arms and vanished silently into the vast night.

Not long after Brandon left, Liam Sullivan arrived in a rush.

But he was ultimately a step too late.

He had withdrawn the overt bodyguards, but he had installed hidden cameras nearby, monitoring the front of her residence around the clock.

The moment he received the urgent report from his subordinate, he immediately abandoned several important clients and sped over.

He was still too late.

Liam pushed the door open and stormed inside, frantic and furious.

If he had known this would happen, he never should have softened and agreed to withdraw the bodyguards!

He quickly searched the room. Aside from the gun on the floor, there were no other traces.

He picked up the gun and checked the magazine.

Not a single bullet was missing.
