Chapter 70
Vivian Bennett trembled, her lips red and quivering as she reminded him. "Your sister is still outside..."
She hoped Isabella Sullivan's presence would make him hesitate.
Liam Sullivan merely curved his lips. "So?"
His hand had already slipped beneath the covers, roaming over her skin.
He had restrained himself for too long.
Ever since tasting her, he could not forget.
"You..." Her eyelashes fluttered in disbelief as she stared at him.
This man was truly driven mad by desire.
He did not even care that his own sister was right outside the door.
Liam's thin lips lifted. "Do you know why I transferred you to headquarters as my secretary?"
Vivian blinked in confusion. "Why?"
This question had always troubled her.
"So I could have you in the office whenever I want." His gaze darkened, his voice low and husky.
Vivian's face paled instantly.
Her heart sank to the depths.
So he had planned everything from the beginning.
She forced herself to remain calm.
Taking a deep breath, she said indignantly, "Even if you're the CEO, you can't do whatever you want to your employees!"
Liam had always been composed and self-controlled.
As the leader of the corporation, he never crossed boundaries.
Even when women threw themselves at him, he never showed mercy.
The Sullivan Group did not forbid office romances, but it did not encourage them either.
But Vivian was an exception.
In his mind, she had always been his woman.
Claiming what was his was only natural.
Transferring her to be his secretary was merely an excuse.
His true intention was to possess her forever.
If she was willing, he would even marry her.
To continue having her all to himself.
Liam gripped her chin, his dark eyes intense. "You're unwilling?"
"Unwilling!" Vivian stated firmly.
She had avoided accepting the secretary position precisely to escape him.
Instead, she applied to the public relations department herself.
This way, she would not offend the boss while keeping her distance.
"I will make you willing."
Liam's gaze turned profound, each word deliberate.
He rose and left, temporarily letting her go.
No woman had ever dared to reject him like this.
Liam was accustomed to admiration and worship from women.
Vivian was indeed special.
Whether she truly refused or was playing hard to get, he would eventually make her willingly become his woman.
Seeing the crisis averted, Vivian immediately wrapped herself in the blankets and jumped off the bed.
But just as she was about to escape, Liam pulled her back.
"Where do you think you're going?"
His voice was low and displeased.
"I need to get back to work!" Vivian said urgently.
Because of his antics, she was almost late.
She had stayed up all night organizing documents that still needed to be submitted. If she was late again, Manager Hannah Green would definitely find fault.
Liam frowned. "You think you can go to work like this?"
Vivian froze. "I..."
She looked down awkwardly.
She was indeed barely dressed and presentable.
Let alone going to work.
But the most dangerous thing right now was the man before her.
