Chapter 234

Liam Sullivan looked down at the robe in his arms, his brow furrowed.

"Do you really think this will fit me?" His voice was low and clearly displeased.

Vivian Bennett shot him an annoyed glance.

"Or would you prefer to wear your own wet clothes?"

She lived alone. There was only one woman's robe in her bathroom.

Its size was obviously completely mismatched for Liam's tall and imposing physique.

But outside the window, the storm raged with torrential rain and flashes of lightning.

There was no way to go out and buy pajamas in this weather.

He would just have to make do for now.

After finally managing to push the unsatisfied Boss Liam into the bathroom, Vivian walked to the entryway and turned on the central air conditioning.

She turned up the heat to prevent him from catching a cold after his shower.

Soon, Liam finished his bath.

He emerged from the bathroom wearing the robe that was saturated with Vivian's scent.

Vivian was sitting on the living room sofa reading a magazine.

The lightning was too intense, so she didn't dare turn on the television.

Hearing the movement, she glanced up.

The next second, she immediately averted her gaze, her ears burning.

The woman's robe on him barely reached his thighs.

He hadn't bothered to tie the belt, leaving much of his chest exposed.

His dark hair was dripping wet, water droplets trailing down his neck.

They slid over his firm pectoral muscles, his taut waist, and his well-defined V-line abs.

Under the light, his long legs looked straight and powerful.

She didn't have any men's underwear at her place, so...

Vivian's cheeks instantly flushed crimson. She pointed at him and exclaimed, "Tie the belt right now!"

"The robe is too small." Liam gave her a meaningful look, his voice laced with amusement. "Besides, it's not like you haven't seen everything before."

His dark eyes smiled as he strode over and sat down directly beside her.

Vivian's heart raced wildly, her body unconsciously going soft.

Even though she had helped him that way in the hot spring before...

Right now, under the bright lights, everything was breathtakingly clear, unbearably clear.

This man was absolutely doing it on purpose!

She turned her head away in frustration, feeling internally frantic.

She really wanted to punch him.

But Liam's physique was overwhelmingly powerful. If she actually tried to fight him, she would only end up being subdued by him.

She closed her eyes dramatically, feeling even more irritated.

Why had she been soft-hearted for a moment and let this wolf into her home?

Liam turned to look at her, his eyes burning bright, his smile deepening.

He clearly caught every slight fluctuation of her emotions, and it pleased him.

"Vivian..." he suddenly called her name in a low voice, his tone hoarse and seductive.

It was like a feather brushing against her heart, pulling her down.

He braced one hand on the sofa, leaning his body toward hers.

It was a tentative, almost-but-not-quite touch.

His warm breath fanned against her earlobe, her most sensitive spot.

Vivian felt her rationality crumbling.

Her body was shamefully responding to his temptation.

She braced her hands behind her, scrambling backward.

She wanted to escape the intense aura of hormones surrounding him.

Liam smirked mischievously. "If you keep backing away, I'm afraid I won't be able to resist pinning you down and kissing you..."

"You're sleeping on the sofa tonight!" Vivian pushed him away sharply, almost jumping up. "I... I'll go get a blanket!"

She stammered the words, her cheeks burning, and fled into the bedroom like she was running for her life.
