Chapter 327
Vivian Bennett huffed softly.
"Why haven't you gone back to your own place yet?"
Liam Sullivan's brow furrowed slightly.
"Trying to get rid of me?"
She lifted her clear eyes to meet his deep gaze.
"Your grandfather is already arranging blind dates for you. It's better if we keep some distance."
"If you keep staying here, what if someone finds out?"
The air in the bedroom suddenly grew cold.
Liam silently watched her, his eyes unfathomable.
His gaze carried an intangible pressure.
Being stared at like this made Vivian's heartbeat quicken involuntarily.
She always felt incredibly small before this experienced, profound man.
She bit her lip and insisted,
"Before your family agrees, we shouldn't make our relationship public."
She secretly glanced up to gauge his reaction.
The Sullivan family would undoubtedly struggle to accept such a delicate relationship.
If Liam insisted on being with her, it would cause tremendous turmoil.
She didn't want to put him in a difficult position.
Liam's expression remained unreadable.
Just as Vivian worried he might be angry, he suddenly pulled her into his arms.
He lowered his head and captured her lips in a kiss.
The kiss was lingering and intense, filled with an undeniable dominance.
Only when their breathing became ragged did Liam reluctantly release her.
His voice was low and husky.
"Get some rest."
He got out of bed and left.
The sound of the door closing echoed clearly in the silence.
Vivian lay in bed, her emotions in turmoil.
She tossed and turned, unable to sleep.
The next day happened to be a weekend.
After breakfast, Vivian made plans with Sophia Miller to go shopping.
She touched up her makeup lightly and prepared to head out.
Just as she reached downstairs, her phone vibrated.
A text from Liam appeared: "Wait for me at the corner."
Vivian's heart skipped a beat.
She happily walked toward the corner.
From a distance, she spotted the black limousine parked by the roadside.
She cautiously glanced around before quickly opening the car door and slipping inside.
Gazing at the man's handsome profile, she smiled radiantly.
"Didn't you leave early? Why are you still here?"
Liam gave her a brief glance but didn't respond.
Vivian was already accustomed to his occasional silence.
Sunlight streamed through the window, softening his innate coolness.
He focused on the road ahead, his slender fingers resting lightly on the steering wheel.
It reminded her of the term "warm guy."
Even though it completely contradicted his aloof demeanor.
As the car was about to exit the gated community, Liam finally turned to look at her.
"Where to?"
"Can you drop me off at my cousin's place first?"
There was still plenty of time before her meeting.
She wanted to visit Grace Harper.
The car interior returned to silence, yet a warm atmosphere flowed between them.
