Chapter 418

Liam Sullivan held Vivian Bennett tightly.

The embrace appeared calm.

Yet it concealed an unspeakable tension.

After a long while, he finally released her and returned to the driver's seat.

A heavy silence filled the car.

It was unclear whether it was due to the relentless rain outside or the distance that had grown between them over the past few days.

Vivian felt the atmosphere was stifling.

They returned to Liam's residence.

She looked at his weary profile, traces of exhaustion evident on his face.

She gently urged him to rest.

She then turned and entered the kitchen.

By the time she had prepared three dishes and a soup, Liam emerged from the bedroom.

He embraced her from behind.

His voice was low, brushing past her ear. "Vivian, let's move in together."

Her heart trembled.

She melted into his arms.

She looked up and kissed his sharply defined jawline.

Her voice was soft. "Doesn't this... already count as living together?"

Liam chuckled softly.

He kissed her, lingering for a moment before saying hoarsely, "This doesn't count."

"Move in tomorrow, alright?"

Vivian actually thought the current arrangement was fine.

Occasional time apart made their reunions more special.

Longing would ferment.

Her heart would beat hotter when they met.

But that night, he was more fierce and urgent than ever before.

Vivian was left utterly exhausted, finally falling into a deep sleep.

Liam gazed at her sleeping face, still flushed.

His eyes were deep and thoughtful.

The rain continued outside the window, but the bedroom was peaceful.

He held her close and gradually fell asleep.

Vivian woke the next morning feeling sore all over.

She was accustomed to his dominance.

After washing up and changing, she went downstairs.

She saw his tall, straight figure in the kitchen.

He was wearing an apron, focused on frying eggs.

Vivian couldn't help but smile.

Liam turned at the sound of her footsteps.

He saw her approaching quietly like a cat.

The corner of his mouth lifted. "Awake? Breakfast isn't ready yet. I wanted to let you sleep longer."

Vivian stood on her toes and kissed the corner of his mouth.

She said lightly, "Thank you for your hard work, Boss."

Who would have thought the lofty president of Sullivan Group would be like this at home.

She secretly took out her phone and snapped a picture of his back.

She casually posted it to her social media.

The caption read: Isn't this beautiful.

In less than a minute, Sophia Miller was the first to comment. "Show-offs die fast! Have you considered the feelings of single people!"

Emily Davis followed closely. "Holy shit!!! That back! That waist! That ass! Ahhh—"

She hadn't known about Vivian and Liam's relationship initially.

Until she once saw Liam pinning Vivian against the car and kissing her.

Since then, Emily was convinced these two were involved.

Now that Isabella Sullivan was abroad and no longer vice president of Sullivan Group, Vivian had nothing to worry about.

She looked at her phone screen and couldn't help laughing.

Liam turned around with breakfast and saw her giggling at her phone.

He raised an eyebrow. "What's so funny?"

Vivian hid her phone behind her back.

Her eyes curved into smiles. "It's a secret."
