Chapter 679

However, there were some things that Liam Sullivan was very angry about.

"I found a powerful micro-bomb in your apartment, Vivian. Tell me, what were you planning to do? Did you still intend to deal with Isabella Sullivan and the others?"

He looked at her with a complicated expression, his voice full of heartache.

"Don't do anything dangerous anymore. If you want revenge, I will avenge you. Give me time. I won't let those people remain free forever."

Vivian Bennett fell silent immediately.

Even her own bomb had been discovered by him. It seemed her plans had to change again.

"My revenge is my own. I don't need your help," she said flatly, not accepting his gesture.

Liam's gaze darkened. He reached out and covered her hand with his.

"How can it be just yours? That was my child too. It was our child. I was its father. I have the right to seek revenge as well."

Vivian became even more indifferent.

"Do as you please. Just don't do it in my name, and don't use phrases like 'avenging me.' Your actions have nothing to do with me."

She always drew clear lines.

She wouldn't waver just because he had rushed to save her.

"Alright."

Liam sighed in resignation.

He knew she was determined to draw a line between them. This couldn't be rushed. They had to take it slow.

Now that he had brought her back, at least she was by his side, and he could take care of her.

That was already significant progress.

"You've finished interrogating me. Now it's my turn to interrogate you," Vivian suddenly said.

Liam's eyes widened in surprise.

He didn't understand her meaning. Was she actively wanting to talk to him?

That was good too.

"Ask away. I'll tell you anything you want to know," he said happily.

"I hope you remember that promise in a moment," Vivian said sarcastically, glancing at him sideways.

"I'm curious. How did you find me so easily?"

She was very aware of how well-hidden Brandon White's hideout was.

It shouldn't have been found so quickly and easily. Moreover, even if found, entering the lair would require prior investigation. Otherwise, walking in would be a trap, easily leading to total defeat.

Yet he had found it far too effortlessly.

Liam immediately regretted his earlier words.

He really shouldn't have promised to tell her everything so readily. Now, there was clearly one thing he absolutely did not want to tell her.

He cleared his throat, choosing his words carefully.

"I had my men gather information. Do you think there's anything I can't find with my capabilities?"

This reason actually made sense.

At least, it could fool many people to some extent.

But Vivian no longer believed him.

"Then, last time, when I captured Isabella Sullivan and the others in the studio apartment, how did you figure it out then? Did you track me down by my scent?"

Her sarcastic tone grew even thicker.

She had overlooked or ignored many things in the past, but that didn't mean she was a fool.

Now, at least, she didn't want to continue being an idiot.

Liam's smile instantly became strained.

Facing her cold, accusatory expression, he felt somewhat unable to withstand it.

He hadn't expected her to start suspecting, even connecting it to past events.

"Exactly how did you know where I was hidden?" Vivian pressed step by step, her gaze sharp as a knife.
