Chapter 153
Vivian Bennett was too angry to pay attention to his words.
"Why did you drag me out here? If there's nothing important, I need to go back. The contract is about to be signed..."
She hated being interrupted in the middle of something.
Especially now, when Mr. Richardson was completely drunk from all the women plying him with alcohol.
It was the perfect moment to coax him into signing.
Vivian didn't want to miss this opportunity.
"You still want to go back? What for?" Liam Sullivan's eyes turned cold instantly. Suppressed anger simmered in his chest.
"To continue having dinner with Mr. Richardson." Vivian answered without hesitation.
"Was that really just dinner? He was clearly taking advantage of you!" Liam struggled to control his emotions. A dark flame seemed to ignite in the depths of his eyes.
Vivian froze.
A flicker of embarrassment crossed her face.
She admitted that if Liam hadn't shown up in time, she didn't know how much more Mr. Richardson would have taken advantage of her.
But what else could she do?
This was all arranged by Manager Hannah Green.
"I was just negotiating the contract." Vivian explained helplessly.
"Who told you to negotiate that kind of contract?" A trace of murderous intent flashed in Liam's deep eyes.
This was clearly a trap.
And she had foolishly walked right into it.
"Who else?" Vivian lowered her gaze. A bitter smile touched her lips.
In the entire Public Relations Department, the person who disliked her the most was Deputy Manager Hannah Green.
And who was Hannah Green loyal to?
She was a close confidante of Liam's adopted sister, Isabella Sullivan.
Now that Hannah Green was targeting her, it went without saying that it was Isabella's doing.
Liam's entire face darkened instantly.
His hands unconsciously clenched into fists.
He never expected Hannah Green to be so bold, to use such a vicious method.
It was time to make her leave the Sullivan Group for good.
And that Mr. Richardson who dared to lay a hand on her.
He would make him understand the consequences of touching someone he shouldn't have.
"This was my oversight today!"
Liam sighed. "This will never happen again!"
He sank into deep self-blame.
If anything had happened to her today, he would never forgive himself!
"Don't worry, I won't let Hannah Green get away with this!" Liam softened his tone to comfort her. His voice turned noticeably cold and hard on the last sentence.
Vivian was taken aback.
What did he mean by that last sentence?
Before she could ask, Liam had already scooped her up into his arms.
He carried her directly to his car.
Ryan Johnson, sitting in the driver's seat, was slightly stunned to see his boss carrying a woman.
But when he saw it was Vivian in his arms, he was no longer surprised.
Their boss had already broken too many rules for this woman.
One more time today wouldn't make a difference.
He had been accompanying his boss today, negotiating a hundred-million-dollar contract with a foreign businessman.
Unexpectedly, Public Relations Manager Thomas Carter called to report Vivian's situation to the boss.
When the boss learned Vivian was going to accompany that Mr. Richardson tonight, his expression changed immediately.
He abandoned the hundred-million-dollar deal and rushed over to save Vivian.
Fortunately, he wasn't too late. Everything was still salvageable.
"Drive!"
