Chapter 154
Ryan Johnson quickly refocused and started the engine.
Silence filled the car.
Vivian Bennett leaned against the window, her gaze distant.
Liam Sullivan sat upright beside her, his thin lips pressed tightly together. He remained silent.
The car drove straight to Liam Sullivan's private villa.
Ryan Johnson got out swiftly and opened the door respectfully. "We've arrived, Boss Liam."
Liam Sullivan opened his eyes and glanced at the woman beside him.
Before Vivian Bennett could react, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the car.
Warm yellow lights illuminated the luxurious living room.
Liam Sullivan released her hand and walked away.
He returned moments later with a damp towel.
He leaned in close and raised his hand.
Vivian Bennett flinched away. "I can do it myself."
"Stay still." Liam Sullivan studied her flushed cheeks as he gently wiped her face. "You can't see."
His fingertips were warm. His gaze was intense.
For the first time, Vivian Bennett felt that being cared for could be so sweet.
Ryan Johnson, who had just entered, froze in place.
He was seeing his boss personally wiping a woman's face?
"Thank you," Vivian Bennett said softly.
Liam Sullivan issued a command. "Go upstairs and take a shower."
Vivian Bennett looked up, startled.
This was his home? He wanted her to shower here?
Liam Sullivan saw her hesitation and spoke coldly. "I have no interest in disheveled women."
Ryan Johnson observed her secretly.
She was stunningly beautiful. Where was the dishevelment?
But her outfit was indeed excessively provocative.
What surprised him more was his boss offering an explanation.
The man who always valued brevity had made an exception today.
Vivian Bennett was truly tired.
Her chaotic thoughts needed solitude.
She nodded lightly and turned to go upstairs.
Ryan Johnson watched her retreating figure, deep in thought.
She was the first woman to ever step into this villa.
Even Isabella Sullivan had never been here.
The boss treated her exceptionally.
It seemed he needed to be more cautious from now on.
This woman might very well become the future Mrs. Sullivan.
