Chapter 170

Liam Sullivan narrowed his eyes, watching her flustered state.

She resembled a startled doe, her gaze shifting nervously.

A wave of displeasure rose within him.

Was he so disgraceful to be seen with?

The man snorted coldly, his voice deep and authoritative. "Is the CEO's office a place she can just enter whenever she wishes?"

Vivian Bennett felt the tense string in her heart loosen slightly.

She sat back down on the sofa, but her ears remained sharply perked.

Isabella Sullivan's dissatisfied questioning echoed from outside the door.

Ryan Johnson's tall and straight figure blocked the entrance like an immovable gatekeeper.

Isabella had come today because of Hannah Green.

Hannah was someone she had personally promoted. How could she just be fired without reason?

She had come twice before, but Liam wasn't in his office.

This was utterly unbelievable.

Her brother was always a workaholic. It was the norm for him to be punctually present in the CEO's office.

Upon investigation, she discovered Liam had come to the company with Vivian today.

Not only were they late, but they had also stepped out of the same luxury car.

All signs indicated that Liam had been with Vivian last night.

Something must have happened between them.

Isabella trembled with rage.

Her brother had always been indifferent to women. Why make an exception for Vivian?

What was even more infuriating was that this wretched woman, Vivian, dared to linger in the CEO's office without leaving.

Isabella was determined to confront her.

Unexpectedly, she was stopped by Ryan as soon as she reached the door.

No matter how she threatened or cajoled, the man remained unmoved.

Isabella was practically driven mad with anger.

She was Liam's own sister, the company's vice president.

Did Ryan really show her no respect at all?

What did this imply?

It implied her brother was definitely doing something unspeakable with Vivian inside that office.

The thought made her burn with jealousy.

That heart-wrenching feeling threatened to consume her completely.

She shot Ryan a venomous glare, grinding her teeth. "You just wait!"

The sound of her high heels gradually faded into the distance.

Ryan continued to stand expressionlessly, as if nothing had happened.

Only when complete silence fell outside did Vivian finally let out a sigh of relief.

Thankfully, Isabella had left.

If she had been discovered, no amount of explanation would have cleared her name.

She looked toward Liam, who sat composedly behind his desk, and said with concern, "If she had seen me here, she would definitely suspect our relationship."

Liam lifted his head, his deep gaze locking onto her.

He raised an eyebrow and retorted, "What relationship?"

Vivian was immediately stumped.

She opened her mouth, struggling for a long moment before finally blurting out, "No relationship at all!"

Liam's eyes darkened, a faint, almost mocking smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Save that line for Isabella. It doesn't work on me. We've slept together. How can there be no relationship?"

Vivian instantly refuted, "Who slept with you?"

Liam chuckled lowly, his voice laced with amusement. "Didn't we sleep together last night? And before that, at your place, we slept together too."

Vivian was rendered speechless.

They had indeed slept together.

Although nothing had happened...

They had definitely shared a bed.
