Chapter 207

Liam Sullivan’s arm tightened around her waist, pulling her firmly against his chest.

His warm breath brushed her ear. His voice was low and hypnotic. "Sleep here. It's not like we haven't shared a bed before."

Vivian Bennett’s body went rigid. Two bright spots of color bloomed on her cheeks.

She shook her head in a panic. Her lips trembled slightly. "I... I should go back to my own room."

Liam gazed at her flushed face. He suddenly scooped her up into his arms. He carried her swiftly up the stairs.

"Let me go! Put me down!" Vivian squirmed restlessly in his embrace.

Instead of releasing her, he carried her straight into the master bedroom on the second floor.

He pressed her down into the soft bed. He wrapped his arms around her tense body from behind. His tone was both domineering and tender. "You're mine now. Why are you still so shy about sharing a bed?"

His blunt words made her ears burn crimson. She flipped over to glare at him. "Who says I'm yours? You're so shameless!"

Liam knew she still hadn't recognized him as the man from the limousine that night.

He pressed his forehead against hers. His scorching breath enveloped her completely. "Do you hate me? Should I make you mine right now?"

It would be a perfect way to help her recall that night.

Some things could be denied while they remained vague. Once spoken aloud, only embarrassment and palpitations would remain.

Vivian was thin-skinned. She couldn't handle his teasing. She simply turned her back to him, ignoring him.

She never imagined she would have such an entanglement with her big boss, Liam Sullivan.

They were as different as clouds and mud. Yet now they were sharing a bed.

All sorts of indescribable emotions quietly spread through her heart like vines.

Vivian lay still, but her mind was in turmoil.

She didn't turn to look until she heard his even, steady breathing behind her. She studied his sleeping face.

Confusion and hesitation intertwined. She didn't know how much time passed before she finally drifted into a fitful sleep.

Liam watched her closed eyes. Her long lashes rested like butterfly wings against her jade-like skin. She looked like an exquisitely crafted porcelain doll.

He couldn't resist lowering his head to gently kiss her lips. He pulled back carefully, afraid of disturbing her sweet dreams.

Vivian slept deeply. She didn't wake until two in the afternoon.

She frowned slightly at the completely unfamiliar surroundings.

Where was this?

She should have been in the guest room at the Aspen Hot Springs hotel. She should have been with her colleague, Emily Davis.

How did she end up in this luxurious bedroom?

Vivian blinked. Her muddled thoughts suddenly cleared.

She remembered being brought to the private villa by her big boss, Liam Sullivan.

He said his previous announcement about terminating their agreement and cutting ties was all said in anger.

He wanted her to compensate him for a lifetime?

After that, he carried her upstairs. They slept in each other's arms.
