Chapter 263
Liam Sullivan watched Vivian Bennett, drunk and unsteady, and felt a headache coming on.
He tried to hold down her flailing hands, but she only became more agitated.
Finally losing his patience, Liam grabbed her wrist firmly.
His voice was low and dangerous. "Vivian, if you keep this up, I'm throwing you out."
The smile instantly vanished from Vivian's face.
Her lips trembled into a pout as she suddenly grabbed his collar.
"Liam Sullivan, you're a jerk! All you do is yell at me!"
Liam stared at her pouting lips, his expression darkening.
He must be insane to try reasoning with a drunk.
He took a deep breath, softening his voice. "Viv, be good. Let go."
His voice held a hypnotic, compelling quality.
Vivian obediently released her grip and closed her eyes.
Liam pulled the air-conditioned duvet over her.
He was about to turn away when she suddenly sat up.
Her hand clamped tightly around his wrist, her voice choked with tears.
"Liam Sullivan, you're not allowed to leave! Explain your relationship with your sister!"
Liam's eyes darkened, but before he could answer.
Vivian lunged forward, wrapping her arms around his neck.
She tilted her head up and bit down hard on his lip.
Liam winced in pain but let her vent.
This was the first time she had initiated contact.
Even if it was just drunken chaos.
Vivian bit for a moment before suddenly stopping.
Her lips pressed against his, her voice lazy yet demanding.
"Liam Sullivan, I'm kissing you. Why aren't you opening your mouth?"
Emboldened by alcohol, she began an awkward, tentative exploration.
Liam's initially rigid body gradually responded.
He swiftly pinned her down on the bed, turning the tables.
His kiss was urgent and frantic, filled with long-suppressed desire.
Vivian was kissed breathless, emitting faint whimpers.
Only then did Liam reluctantly release her.
He looked at her flushed face, breathing heavily as he lay beside her.
His body burned with heat, a certain part aching unbearably.
The cause of it all lay with her eyes closed, humming innocently.
Liam got up with a dark expression and stormed into the bathroom for a cold shower.
When he emerged wrapped in a towel, Vivian was fast asleep.
The duvet had been kicked aside, her clothes disheveled.
Liam walked over helplessly, carefully straightening her clothes.
Suppressing the restlessness within, he sat on the edge of the bed and lit a cigarette.
In the swirling smoke, his handsome features were shrouded in shadow.
......
Vivian woke up the next day at noon.
A hangover headache made her frown in discomfort.
Her throat was dry and sore. Her entire body felt awful.
