Chapter 324

Rain poured heavily outside the window.

Thunder rumbled loudly.

A flash of lightning split the sky.

Vivian Bennett leaned weakly against his shoulder.

A faint smile touched her lips.

Liam Sullivan lit a cigarette.

The ember glowed and faded.

He lounged lazily by the window.

His gaze was tender as he watched her.

His cool knuckles brushed over her swollen lips.

Vivian looked at him through the haze of smoke.

Her eyes were clear and burning bright.

A phone rang abruptly.

Vivian saw the caller ID.

Her heart skipped a beat.

Jason Harper's voice sounded tired and hoarse.

"Vivian, can you come back?"

"Your cousin has been sick for days."

"She won't eat or drink."

Vivian's fingers turned cold.

She answered stiffly.

"I'll come back now."

Jason offered to pick her up.

She quickly refused.

She would take a taxi.

After hanging up, Liam frowned slightly.

"Leaving?"

Vivian explained softly.

"My cousin is sick."

"I need to check on her."

Liam's expression darkened instantly.

"I'll drive you."

"No need."

She lowered her head to open the ride-hailing app.

He snatched her phone away.

"I'm driving you."

Vivian bit her lip hesitantly.

"What if someone sees us?"

"Before, we could say it was a ride."

"Now things are different."

She felt guilty and scared.

Especially during work hours.

Liam returned her phone.

"Don't worry."

"No one will notice at this time."

Vivian nodded reluctantly.

His car would be the fastest.

But she was covered in marks.

She couldn't let anyone see her.

"Wait a moment."

She hurried into the restroom attached to the lounge.

After washing up, she was about to leave.

Then she heard a woman's voice in the office.

"Brother, Grandma and Grandpa want to have dinner."

Isabella Sullivan's voice was coy.

"Don't stand them up this time."

"They'll be angry."

Liam responded coldly.

Isabella chuckled lightly.

Her eyes scanned the gap under the lounge door.

"Grandma and Grandpa have chosen a suitable young lady from an elite family."

"They insist you meet her."

"Not interested."

Liam's tone was icy.

Isabella raised an eyebrow.

"The position of Mrs. Sullivan can't remain empty forever."

"All those vixens out there are eyeing it."

She had sensed something unusual the moment she entered the office.

That vixen Vivian.

She actually dared to seduce her brother in his office.

She had to put her in her place.

Make that woman back off.

The Sullivan family wasn't a place just anyone could enter.
