Chapter 329

Near the end of the workday, Vivian Bennett's phone screen lit up.

Liam Sullivan's name flashed on the display.

Her heartbeat quickened slightly as her finger swiped the answer button.

His deep voice came through the receiver. "Wait for me after work. We'll have dinner together."

Vivian instinctively glanced around.

After confirming no one was watching, she lowered her voice. "Okay."

Their relationship wasn't public yet. Every date required careful discretion.

She tentatively suggested, "Should I wait at the café across from the office?"

There was a brief silence on the other end.

Liam walked to the floor-to-ceiling window.

His gaze pierced through the glass, focusing on the café across the street.

Though the distance was too great to see anything clearly.

A faint smile touched his lips. "Should I have Ryan pick you up?"

Vivian quickly refused. "No, it wouldn't be good if someone saw."

She paused briefly. "I'll go to the café first after work."

Liam glanced at his wristwatch, his voice softening. "Alright."

After the call ended, he returned to his work.

Vivian packed her things and left the office on time.

She entered the café and chose a secluded corner to sit.

Her fingers absently stirred the coffee in her cup.

Suddenly, a black luxury car pulled up outside the shop.

The familiar license plate caught her eye.

Vivian immediately stood to pay the bill and hurried out of the café.

She opened the passenger door and slid inside.

Liam quickly drove away from the scene.

In a corner of the café, Isabella Sullivan stared intently at the departing car.

Her grip tightened around the coffee cup, knuckles turning white.

So her brother was still secretly seeing this woman.

She had thought it was just a casual fling.

Now it seemed things were far more serious than she imagined.

Liam took Vivian to an upscale French restaurant.

Candlelight flickered, creating a romantic atmosphere.

But Vivian remained distracted throughout the meal.

After dinner, they returned to Emerald Estate villa.

Vivian followed quietly behind Liam, her expression downcast.

Noticing her unusual mood, Liam pulled her into his embrace.

His deep voice murmured near her ear. "What's wrong?"

Vivian leaned against his chest with a soft sigh. "My cousin is getting divorced. I'm worried about her."

Liam raised an eyebrow. "Do you need my help?"

Vivian shook her head. "No, it's her family matter."

"Let me know if you need anything." Liam smoothed her hair. "Don't carry this alone."

Warmth spread through Vivian's heart. She nodded gently. "Mm."

After sharing her concerns, she felt considerably lighter.

Liam watched her gradually brightening expression.

The corner of his mouth lifted. "Feeling better now?"

Vivian looked up at him, her eyes curving into smiles. "Much better."

"Then keep me company while I handle some work in the study?" Liam took her hand.

Vivian felt a twinge of guilt. "Did I delay your overtime work?"

Liam tightened his grip on her hand. "I'm glad you're willing to share your worries with me."

His gaze deepened. "You can always come to me, anytime."

The simple words moved her more than any sweet nothing could.

Warmth flooded Vivian's heart as she actively returned his hand squeeze.
