Chapter 51
Zachary Hudson had deliberately set that price.
It was clearly revenge for her rejection.
Vivian Bennett raised the corner of her eyes.
She gritted her teeth and sneered coldly. "In that case, I'll take my leave!"
They were clearly at an impasse.
There was no reason for her to stay any longer.
Vivian forcefully shook off his restraining hand.
She turned to leave.
Zachary Hudson's icy voice came from behind. "Leave now, and you'll regret it!"
Vivian paused her steps.
She muttered under her breath, "I have nothing to regret."
Agreeing to sell herself for a hundred thousand would be the real regret.
If she absolutely had to sell herself, she would choose Liam Sullivan.
She would never choose Zachary Hudson.
Besides, she hadn't planned on selling herself at all.
After saying that, Vivian strode out of the president's office.
The next day, as soon as she arrived at work, she was harshly scolded by Deputy Manager Hannah Green.
"Vivian Bennett, how dare you act so recklessly!"
Vivian was completely baffled.
Although being lectured by Hannah Green wasn't new, there had to be a reason.
She looked at Hannah with innocent eyes.
"Where do you get the nerve to offend Young Master Hudson?"
Vivian's pretty face stiffened. "I..."
She didn't need to ask.
Zachary Hudson had definitely complained to her superiors.
No wonder he warned her not to regret it yesterday.
That man was truly ruthless.
"Go apologize to Young Master Hudson immediately!" Hannah Green commanded sharply. "Whether you have to beg on your knees or grovel, you must appease him."
Vivian couldn't help but frown. "I don't know how I offended him?"
It couldn't be because she refused to be his nominal cuckolded wife, could it?
Zachary Hudson offered a hundred thousand.
He expected her to dutifully play the wife.
And turn a blind eye to his outside affairs.
What wishful thinking.
In comparison, Vivian found her boss Liam Sullivan much more reliable.
Liam Sullivan was at least sincere.
Unlike Zachary Hudson, who purely intended to humiliate her.
She refused.
And he actually had the nerve to tattle.
Hannah Green, acting on Isabella Sullivan's instructions, had been deliberately targeting Vivian.
Now that she had an opportunity, she naturally exaggerated and criticized Vivian severely.
"You don't know? You're unaware of what you did?" Hannah Green's face was stern.
Her voice was loud. "Who is Young Master Hudson? Do you think you can afford to offend him? You..."
"Vivian Bennett!"
Manager Thomas Carter's voice suddenly interrupted Hannah's criticism.
"Take this document to the president's office for Mr. Sullivan's signature."
"Yes, Manager Carter!" Vivian gave Thomas a grateful look.
She understood he was helping her out of this situation.
She quickly took the file.
And hurried toward the elevator.
Hannah Green shot Thomas a glare.
She snorted in displeasure.
