Chapter 50

A woman like her would be effortless to marry.

She wouldn't police his affairs outside, nor would she fight other women for his attention.

Zachary Hudson remained unmarried precisely because he hadn't met someone like Vivian Bennett.

With his family pressuring him to wed, he increasingly felt Vivian was perfect for a marriage in name only.

Vivian was startled.

Did Zachary Hudson truly want her to be his cuckolded wife?

Had he even asked for her opinion?

As if everyone was desperate to marry him.

She swiftly hopped off the desk and refused outright. "Mr. Hudson, I have a boyfriend. We're getting married soon. I can't help you."

Zachary narrowed his peach-blossom eyes. "You're getting married, yet you're here on a blind date?"

Vivian smiled. "My family disapproves. They forced me to come."

Zachary's handsome face darkened.

Vivian knew the contract was hopeless now.

"Our manager will come to negotiate tomorrow. Mr. Hudson, don't lose a major deal over a minor issue."

She reminded him with a smile.

Businessmen valued profit. He should understand.

Vivian turned to leave.

Zachary suddenly grabbed her wrist, pulling her back.

"Is there something else?" Vivian glared at him, displeased.

Zachary smiled charmingly. "How about I pay you to leave your boyfriend?"

"How much?" Vivian pretended to be interested.

She didn't want to anger him and affect the company's cooperation.

"Ten thousand." Zachary assessed her, his smile captivating.

Vivian was astonished. "Don't you think that's too little, Mr. Hudson?"

Liam Sullivan had offered thirty million upfront, later increasing it to two hundred million.

Zachary was only offering ten thousand?

He bought sports cars like they were toothbrushes, yet he was this stingy about finding a wife in name only?

No wonder no one agreed after so many blind dates.

The price was too low. Who would be willing?

Zachary's smile deepened. "Compared to other women, this is indeed pocket change. But..."

He mocked, "I think that's all you're worth."

Vivian was furious.

It was a blatant insult.

Was she only worth ten thousand?
