Chapter 641

Liam Sullivan was pleasantly surprised by Vivian's unusually gentle attitude towards him.

All his worries instantly vanished from his mind.

He happily accompanied her as they explored the entire island.

They then took a speedboat out to sea and went diving near a smaller island.

They had a thoroughly enjoyable day.

As dusk began to fall, the two returned to the villa.

Vivian thought to herself that enough time had passed.

The task she had arranged should be completed by now.

Luna Clark had likely been transferred to a secret location.

This woman was one of the accomplices responsible for her child's death.

She could never forgive her.

So, the next step was to execute her plan.

Now that Luna Clark was captured, she needed to leave this island.

Since Liam had intervened in Luna's affairs, he would definitely want to keep her confined on the island now.

He wouldn't want her to find out.

Therefore, his promise to let her return in a couple of days was empty.

Unless he had already dealt with Luna's situation properly.

But she needed to go back now.

No matter what method she used, she had to make Liam take her away from here.

However, unless something major happened, he would never let her leave easily.

So, what could she do to ensure he would definitely take her away?

Vivian pondered hard.

Suddenly, her eyes lit up as she thought of an idea.

After dinner, she pulled Liam out for a walk.

The villa was built among rock formations.

There were several stone steps leading down to the beach.

"The sea breeze feels so nice tonight."

"I want to run. Come chase me!"

Vivian laughed cheerfully and broke into a run.

"Vivian, don't run around."

"The lighting is dim here. Be careful not to fall."

Liam called out urgently.

But Vivian paid no attention.

She kept running and laughing, rushing down the stone steps.

Suddenly, her foot slipped.

She tumbled down the stairs.

Liam cried out in alarm and immediately rushed over to help her up.

"Vivian, are you okay?"

"Are you hurt?"

Vivian winced in pain, her brow furrowed tightly.

"It hurts so much..."

"The fall really hurt..."

"My chest has a sharp, throbbing pain."

"I don't know if I broke a rib..."

"It hurts... I feel awful."

"Don't talk nonsense."

"Bones aren't that easy to break."

"Don't worry, I'll get a doctor right away."

Liam's face paled even more.

He quickly picked her up and hurried back to the villa.

There was a family doctor at the villa.

After examining her, the doctor found some minor scrapes and bleeding on her hands and feet.

But nothing serious.

At least there were no fractures.

However, Vivian kept clutching her chest and complaining of pain.

The doctor told Liam it might be a minor rib fracture in her chest.

But there were no diagnostic facilities here.

To confirm the injury, they needed to return to a hospital for an X-ray.

Hearing this, Liam grew even more anxious.

He was truly afraid Vivian might have broken a bone.

He immediately decided to return to the mainland overnight.

He swiftly ordered a helicopter to be prepared.

He boarded the helicopter with the doctor and Vivian.

The helicopter landed on the large lawn outside Liam's villa.

Liam had the doctor take Vivian into the villa first.

He then called Oliver Winston.

He asked Oliver to contact the best orthopedic doctor and have them on standby.

Oliver asked him what had happened.

Liam told him about Vivian's fall and injury.

He urged Oliver anxiously to contact a doctor.

Oliver agreed.

He then added, somewhat relieved, "It's a good thing you told me to take Luna Clark away."

"Otherwise, if these two women ran into each other at the hospital, who knows what might happen."

Liam was instantly shocked.

"When did I tell you to take Luna away?"

Oliver was even more puzzled.

"This morning, I sent you a voice message telling you Luna had woken up."

"You told me to take her away."

"You said you had something to discuss with her privately."

"So I did as you asked."

Liam's body stiffened.

He seemed to realize something.

His expression turned extremely grim.

He asked urgently, "When was this?"

"I never asked you to do such a thing."

"Around eight in the morning."

"You sent a message telling me to take her away."

Oliver also sensed something was wrong.

Liam clenched his fists.

"I was taking a shower at that time."

"I didn't answer the phone..."

"Vivian used my phone."

"It was her who told you to do it using my phone."

"No wonder she kept me occupied all day today."

"She was afraid I'd come back and discover this."

So, her cheerful demeanor today...

Her attentiveness towards him...

It was all just an act with an ulterior motive.

And her sudden fall down the stairs today...

Was that intentional too?

Because she wanted him to bring her back.

A surge of anger rose in Liam's heart.

He hung up the phone and strode into the villa.

As soon as he entered, the doctor hurried up to him.

"Quick, get a car ready."

"We need to take her to the hospital for examination."

But Liam said nothing.

He walked past the doctor and approached Vivian, who was lying on a stretcher.

Seeing his expression, Vivian immediately understood.

He had probably already called Oliver.

He knew about her plan.

She knew he would find out eventually.

But fortunately, she was already back.

And Luna Clark was already in her grasp.

So, her plan had succeeded.

There was no need to keep pretending anymore.
