Chapter 172
Isabella Sullivan’s fingertips turned cold.
She never expected her brother to go this far for Vivian Bennett.
He didn’t even spare his own sister any face.
Hannah Green was her person, after all.
Yet he fired her without hesitation.
It seemed Vivian held significant weight in his heart.
Isabella’s gaze darkened as she scanned Hannah’s anxious face.
Confronting her brother head-on was unwise.
She took a deep breath, suppressing her rising anger.
“Go to the branch office for now,” she ordered coldly. “I’ll transfer you back when the time is right.”
Hannah’s face paled instantly.
She didn’t want to leave headquarters.
The salary and prospects here were unmatched by any branch.
“Vice President, when will the time be right?” she pressed urgently.
A ruthless glint flashed in Isabella’s eyes.
“When my brother grows tired of that bitch.”
She nearly spat the words through clenched teeth.
Hannah’s heart sank.
That could take forever.
She couldn’t wait that long.
She needed to make the CEO discard Vivian soon.
“Vice President, can you bear to see the CEO bewitched by that kind of woman?” she carefully fanned the flames.
Isabella shot her a cold glance. “What do you mean?”
Hannah leaned in, lowering her voice. “We can make the CEO see her true colors sooner...”
Isabella narrowed her eyes. “You have an idea?”
A sinister smile curled Hannah’s lips as she whispered a plan into Isabella’s ear.
Before leaving work, Vivian received a call from her cousin Grace Harper.
Hearing her cousin’s gentle voice, she immediately agreed to dinner that night.
She hadn’t seen Grace since returning from Seattle.
She wondered how Grace and her husband Jason were doing now.
After hanging up, she suddenly remembered Liam Sullivan’s words from the morning.
He had told her to wait for him after work.
But the boss was incredibly busy. He might have already forgotten.
Vivian shook her head, dismissing the thought.
She left the office promptly at the end of the workday.
Grace was frugal and didn’t want Vivian to spend money.
She had already bought groceries and was waiting at Vivian’s doorstep.
When Vivian returned to Lakeside Manor, she saw her cousin sitting alone by the door.
“Grace!” she called out, quickening her pace.
Grace looked up with a gentle smile. “Vivian, you’re back.”
